Welcome to a series of discussions on some of the themes addressed in Left Renewal in an Age of Waiting. Each recorded two-hour session will feature short inputs by the authors and at least one by an invited contributor. We’ll use machine-translated captions, hopefully allowing participation in languages other than English. You’re welcome to join at any session, even if you missed the earlier ones.
Dates and topics:
Sunday 13 September 2026 — 08:00 UTC Class reductionism and class fundamentalism; interlocking systems of oppression; revolutionary subjects; political organisation — edited transcript of the discussion.
Sunday 18 October 2026 — 17:00 UTC Micro- and macro-politics; gender and sexuality; ethnicity, “race” and nation; coloniality and imperiality.
Sunday 8 November 2026 — 08:00 UTC Age, beauty and ability; people and nature; animals and sentience; reason and progress.
Sunday 6 December 2026 — 17:00 UTC The state; structural and direct violence; political change.
These sessions will work best for participants who have read Left Renewal in an Age of Waiting (available in English, French, and Spanish).
Write to us at [email protected] if you would like to participate and we will send you the Zoom links.
