About

This blog is dedicated to renewal of the left, based on a commitment to planetary human emancipation. We focus on critiques of syncretic politics, authoritarian leftism, campism, left antisemitism and other forms of racism and conservative tendencies in progressive movements. We publish critical analyses of the far right and global authoritarianism, antifeminism, anti-trans, anti-queer, anti-immigrant, racist, nationalist and imperialist politics, attacks on the rights and livelihoods of workers, peasants, the poor and marginalised groups, extractivism and the domination of nature – and the social movements confronting these realities. We also try to cover a wide range of intrastate conflicts, particularly ones not well known on the left. We don’t necessarily all agree with all positions taken in every piece we publish.
